We thought we would share our story about our very own in-house model my nephew and my mum's first grandchild.
Orlan Thomas was born and brought into this world in March 2022 weighing in at 7lb 6oz, this little guy was unaware of what was going on, both parents having Covid and mum being so poorly she wasn't unable to take good care of him.
She was admitted into critical care in the first special hours of his life, so that’s where we here at Little Lucy’s photoshoot put everything on hold, locked our doors and stepped up to look after their precious bundle of joy and give him all the care, attention and love we could offer.
From just four days old Orlan was the star of the show with many photoshoots as possible to keep those memories alive for his parents. Between his trips to the hospital to visit his mum and dad Orlan was having as many hours as possible spent in our studio. We capture every expression and as many fine details as possible.
Life was strange and tiring but very rewarding, our home wasn’t the same that week, babies need so much and household chores got left behind. We took turns for the night feeds. Worrying all the time if we are doing right and the way his parent wanted it done. Besides having the worrying thoughts that his mum was critically ill in hospital and we weren’t allowed to visit.
His mum finally made a speedy recovery and was well enough to take the baby home where he belonged, given the family time to settle in we continued photographing Orlan at different stages of his life but now at nearly one year old he released that. Hey! I’m not getting paid to model for every shoot or advert you want to post! Hence the serious look he gives us now.
We will be giving him the best cake smash session we can and hopefully after offering him the most delicious cake he will give us some amazing smiles. It will be messy, it will be sweet but overall it will be memorable.
We have had the most amazing adventure over the past year, We all took Orlan on his first holiday at the age of 6 weeks old to Fuengarola. He was so well-behaved all through our flight and also during our week's holiday. We met up with his mum's friend Vicki who also lives out there. She showed us around her town and had lunch and a few drinks near the beach where Orlan loved the music that was going on.

That year passed so quickly and his cake smash shoot went well and a big party was a blast. We look forward to many more adventures with this little guy and hope you have enjoyed our journey too.
