Safe, calm and baby-led sessions

Every newborn session is designed with your baby safety and comfort as our top priority. We work slowly, follow your baby's cues, and only pose them in safe, supported positions.

Relaxed environment for the whole family

Our studio session are designed to be calm and stress-free for both baby and parents. We create a cosy, comforting atmosphere by closing the blinds and curtains and playing soft, calming music throughout the session. Drinks and snacks are available, and if you are here for a longer session, you are welcome to order food to be delivered to the studio to make yourself comfortable?

Including siblings

For families with young siblings, we recommend they join the session either at the beginning or about 30 minutes before the end. This helps ensure they are happy and engaged, without having to wait around for long periods, and gives parents a relaxed experience to sit back and enjoy the session. If they join at the beginning, a another family member will need to take them away once their photos are finished, so the session can continue smoothly with your newborn. Of course, this is only suggested for younger siblings, as older children can usually stay involved throughout the session.

Prepared and supported for your baby's needs

We want every session to be talked about and stress free. You don't need to worry about bringing everything - we provide wraps, outfits, props, newborn nappies, wipes, nappy bags and spare dummies. Just bring yourself, your baby and your baby bag, including any heirlooms or keepsakes you'd like to include in the photos.

Feeding is always priority. If your baby is bottle-fed, please bring plenty of formula and bottles, as they will get thirsty! If you are breastfeeding we recommended feeding before you arrive to session if you can, with the option to top up at the studio or bring spare expressed breastmilk. Our aim is to ensure your baby is comfortable and tummy are full.

What happens on a newborn wrapped session?

A newborn wrapped session is an excellent choice for families who are working within a budget and want to capture stunning photographs of their little one! This type of session is designed to keep your baby swaddled throughout the entire experience, which typically lasts up to an hour. We will confidently position your baby on our specially designed posing table, prioritising their comfort at every step. After your little is comfortably settled, we will securely swaddle them to foster a feeling of safety. Next, we will artfully include a selection of thoughtfully chosen props that align seamlessly with the colour choices you have made during the booking process. If you have seen any specific props that you are particularly fond of and would like us to incorporate into your session, please don’t hesitate to inform us during the booking process or before your session starts. We want to ensure that your experience is tailored to your preferences!

What is a full newborn session?

A comprehensive newborn photography session usually spans a duration of approximately 2 to 4 hours. This session is thoughtfully designed for parents who are committed to capturing a vivid representation of their baby's early days. By highlighting the distinctive little details that make their newborn special and demonstrating just how tiny they were. Additionally, it beautifully complements these memories with stunning family photos that showcase the love and joy surrounding this special time. Together, these create a moving and meaningful portrayal of this extraordinary time in their lives. It’s all about preserving those precious moments that beautifully reflect the elegance and delicacy of life.

The exact timing of our session can vary on how the baby is feeling on that particular day, as well as how we are able to transition from one pose to another and switch between different props. Our main focus is always to ensure that the baby is safe and comfortable throughout the entire process, as their well-being is our top priority. Typically, we prefer to begin the session with adorable naked poses or in an outfit that you have chosen for your little one, setting the tone for a delightful experience.

Throughout the session, parents can participate in some photos. This may involve holding their baby feet or hands, or they may be included in family photos (please refer to the example below). Additionally, siblings will be invited either at the beginning of the session or at the end, depending on what works best for the family and ourselves. We will discuss these details more thoroughly when you are booking your session to ensure everyone is accommodated nicely.
